Disney Lorcana Hyperia City — Prerelease Dates, Ink Drops & What to Expect

Ravensburger has confirmed the dates for Hyperia City, the fourteenth Disney Lorcana set, and published a rules explainer for its new mechanic, ink drops. Here are the dates, how ink drops work, what to expect at prerelease, and where the set fits into competitive play.

Quick answer — Hyperia City dates at a glance

Prerelease: Friday 16 October 2026

Prerelease events start on Friday 16 October 2026 at participating game stores and select Disney Parks and stores. Each store sets its own start time. All times on this page are UK time (BST).

The set goes on general sale on Friday 23 October 2026. Preorders are open at online retailers.

UK and Europe: check your local listing

There is no single UK schedule. Search Ravensburger's official Play Hub or your local game store's event page, and book early. Each store sets its own seats, times and fees.

What is Hyperia City?

A Set 14 city of neighbourhoods

Hyperia City is a metropolis split into districts: City Center, Wandering Straits, Old Towne Hyperia, the Marigold District and the M.A.G.I.C. academy. Disney Princesses, Mickey Mouse and other favourites return, and the Enchanted cards have a night-out, after-dark look.

Coco glimmers debut

Coco makes its Disney Lorcana debut in the Marigold District, with the Rivera family, street musicians and Ernesto de la Cruz named in official material. The product page links Coco to discard and "passed on" lore payoffs. We will cover card text as cards are officially revealed.

Big Hero 6, M.A.G.I.C. and more

At the M.A.G.I.C. academy, Honey Lemon and the Big Hero 6 team are researching ink drops, and Go Go Tomago – Extreme Tester and Wasabi – Called into Battle are named as ink-drop cards. Zootopia's Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde also appear, along with a Gazelle concert.

Enchanteds and Iconics

The press release names two Iconics: Mickey Mouse – Best in Town, first shown at D23, and Cinderella – Unintentional Icon. Ravensburger has not published pull rates for any rarity, and we will not guess at them.

Ink drops explained

A temporary, one-use ink

Ravensburger's Ink Drop Deep Dive (29 September 2026) explains that each ink drop gives you 1 ink, spent just like ink from your inkwell. Once spent, it is removed from the game. It is a one-off boost, not a permanent addition to your inkwell.

Every ink combination can use them

Ink drops are not tied to one colour. Every ink combination can make them.

Use it now or save it for a big turn

You can spend an ink drop the turn you make it, so you can play an extra small card straight away or save the drop for a turn where one extra ink matters.

Official example cards

The deep dive shows cards that make ink drops and cards that reward you for spending them:

• Tadashi Hamada – Making Waves gives you two ink drops when he is banished.
• Higitus Figitus is a song that gives you three ink drops.
• Madam Mim – Resourceful Trickster rewards you for playing cards with ink drops and is linked to the Bauble Game. [CONFIRM: final Madam Mim card text and how "Bauble Game" is described, against the official reveal]
• Jousting Match deals 2 damage, or 5 if you use an ink drop. [CONFIRM: exact Jousting Match wording against the official card image before publish]

What to expect at prerelease

Sealed or Pack Rush

The official Hyperia City Organized Play kit instructions list two prerelease formats:

• Sealed: the recommended minimum is 6 boosters. Decks need at least 40 cards, there is no limit on ink types, and you can run any number of copies of a card from your pool.
• Pack Rush: a faster format run from the kit. Your store will explain how it runs on the day.

The kit also notes that the promo comes inside the prerelease packs, not as a separate Organized Play promo.

What is in the box

Ravensburger sells official Prerelease Boxes (see the Hyperia City product page). Beyond the 6-booster recommendation, contents and extras such as dice, storage boxes or prizes vary by store. [CONFIRM: official Hyperia City Prerelease Box contents (promo, any inserts) from Ravensburger; describe store extras only as varying by store]

Finding a UK or EU event

Seats and times change quickly, so use the official Play Hub or contact your local store. When you book, check the format, start time (BST), entry fee and what is included.

Competitive timing — what Hyperia does not auto-fix

Hyperia City is Set 14; earlier Championships used Sets 9–13

From 17 July 2026, Core Constructed covered Fabled through Attack of the Vine!, which is Sets 9 to 13. The 2026 Challenge Championships (North America 28–30 August, Europe 11–13 September) used that window. That rule applied to those events and does not automatically carry over.

The 31 October weekend: check each event

The official Challenge hub lists events on 31 October to 1 November 2026, a week after street date. Community reporting says the Asia Challenge in Bangkok that weekend (around 30 October to 1 November) lists Core Constructed as Sets 9 to 14, so Hyperia City may be legal there. [CONFIRM: Bangkok Asia Challenge dates and Core Constructed legal sets (9–14) against the official Disney Lorcana event page or TO announcement]

Some early local qualifiers keep Hyperia out

Community reporting also shows at least one late-October store qualifier keeping Hyperia City out, even after street date. [CONFIRM: name and source for any specific CCQ/store qualifier cited as Hyperia-illegal; otherwise keep this line generic]

What to do

Check the official Disney Lorcana Challenge page and your tournament organiser's announcement before you register. We have not seen an official rotation or banlist date tied to Hyperia City. [CONFIRM: no official Hyperia-related banlist or rotation announcement as of publish date]

How to track Hyperia cards on Lorcanawiz

Browse the card sets hub

Start at the Lorcanawiz card sets hub. The database currently runs through Wilds Unknown. A dedicated Hyperia City set page will follow once officially revealed cards are added. [CONFIRM: whether /cards/hyperia-city is live at publish; if live, link it here, otherwise keep as-is]

Save pickups and log your pulls

Use Custom Lists for trade plans or a Coco wishlist, then log your pulls in My Collection.
